Description: Embrace Abilities, a nonprofit less than a year old, is seeking a grant writer to help us navigate the world of funding opportunities. While we are a young organization, we are rapidly growing and in need of financial support to sustain and expand our programs. We understand that our age may be a factor in grant eligibility, but we are hopeful that with the right expertise, we can find funders willing to support our mission.

Who We Are: Embrace Abilities is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting neurodiverse and special needs children and teens on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We host free events that build social connections and provide resources for families. Founded in 2024, we are working hard to meet the needs of the community and establish a solid foundation for continued growth.

Responsibilities:

• Research and identify grant opportunities suitable for young, small nonprofits.
• Write compelling grant proposals and supporting documents.
• Collaborate with our team to gather relevant information and meet submission requirements.
• Create a system to track grant opportunities and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Previous grant writing experience, particularly with nonprofits.
• Familiarity with securing funding for early-stage organizations is a plus.
• Strong research and writing skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with the team.
