We have a need for someone to speak Tamal, and sit bedside for 1-2 hours one to 2 days per week.
Patient has never learned the English language, and understands a few words but as the condition seems to be settling in, the patient is reverting back to mostly all Tamal.
If you are able to help, we have an opportunity for you. The applicaiton is rather simple, we would need a background check, drug screening, TB test, and we pay for all of these, so don't let that worry you. The Orientation takes a little bit, but if you are interested and want to help, we could get you through the processing in the next week or two, and that is about the time the family would like a volunteer to start.

Provide dignified family centered care and end of life comfort for our patients with an individual touch. We advocate on behalf of our patients to ensure their comfort and final wishes are being granted. We strive to connect with all of our patients and provide personalized physical, mental and spiritual care.
Providing care and comfort to patients. Opportunities include direct patient visitation and administrative support. We provide feedback to schools for volunteer credit. We provide internships for those in nursing and social work. Travel will be limited, with the exception of internships, which may be only to visit different sites. Our goal is to provide companionship as well as socialization to those who express desire to have a volunteer visit. Our scope of activities may be limitless, we help with light housekeeping, running errands, helping with activities, quiet time to reflect and hear life experiences.
