Description: This September, join March of the Blanketeers (MOTB) in making a difference during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We need volunteers to create soft, cheerful chemo caps in gold and yellow. Your handmade caps will bring warmth and comfort to children and teens undergoing treatment, helping to make their journey a bit brighter.
What You’ll Do:
- Knit or crochet child-friendly chemo caps in gold and yellow using Acrylic, Cotton, Nylon, or Polyester yarns.
- Use your creativity-there's no specific pattern required! Just ensure that no objects that could be a potential aspiration threat are included.
- Completed caps must be given directly to MOTB for distribution to ensure they meet safety standards and can be cherished by the young recipients.
Community Service Hours:
- This opportunity is eligible for community service hours if needed. It's a wonderful way to give back and make a positive impact.
Why Volunteer This September?
- Show kids they are not alone in their fight and bring a bit of sunshine to their day with your creations.
- Be part of a supportive community dedicated to spreading joy and comfort through handmade gifts.
- Use your crafting skills to make a tangible difference, one cap at a time.
How to Get Started: Sign up today and start crafting for a cause! Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a beginner, every cap made with love will be a treasured gift for a child in need.
