Role Description
This is a volunteer remote role for a Fundraising Consultant leading to compensation with productivity. The Fundraising Consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, managing donor relationships, and creating compelling campaigns to support the mission of The Black History Foundation. The Fundraising Consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify funding opportunities and implement effective fundraising tactics.
Qualifications
Prior experience in fundraising or nonprofit development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders
Knowledge of fundraising best practices and techniques
Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Founded in 2023, The Black History Foundation was created with the purpose of preserving and promoting the rich cultural narratives and historical contributions of Black people throughout the world. Recognizing the lack of representation in historical education, our founders envisioned an organization that would highlight the greatness of Africa and the African diaspora.
