Do you love sports and want to make a meaningful impact? The Special Olympics is looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to join us as Coaches, Assistant Coaches, or Sports Assistants! This 4-week clinic is a wonderful opportunity to help young athletes (ages 2 to 7) with intellectual disabilities learn soccer skills and experience the joy of the game.
Where? Twin Creek District Park, 6420 Ocean Hwy E, Winnabow, NC 28479
When? Monday Nights - Oct. 7 - Oct. 28 (4 sessions), 6:00pm - 7:00pm
As a Special Olympics coach, you bring enthusiasm, commitment and a positive attitude to each practice, event and competition. You will enrich the lives of our athletes in many life-changing ways. The skills and confidence an athlete learns through sports have a long and lasting effect. They can help an athlete succeed in school or even find a job.
We provide the training you need to be a successful assistant coach. All coaches must be at least 18 years old to be a certified coach.
