For all Special Olympics NC events, SONC staff brings pre-stocked medical and administrative kits that enable them to respond to emergencies and keep events organized. We need a super organized volunteer to re-stock and maintain these kits so a sufficient number are ready at all times to be taken to events. The Kit Manager will follow a checklist itemizing what should go in each kit and notify staff when stock is running low on any particular item. This volunteer would be a detail-oriented and conscientious individual with availability several hours per week on average, more before larger SONC events.

We need a super organized volunteer to oversee the maintenance of the Special Olympics NC warehouse at our headquarters in Morrisville. The SONC warehouse stores an incredible variety of equipment, signage, apparel, and items that support all events taking place in the area. The Warehouse Manager will assist staff in continuously optimizing the space to support all departments and events by organizing, stocking, inventorying, and planning the best way to keep order in this busy part of the office. You will work with managers for specific parts of the warehouse, and will manage additional volunteers to load and unload trucks going to big events, or re-organize the warehouse. This volunteer would be a detail-oriented and conscientious individual with some weekday and weekend availability. This opportunity would also be great for a pair of individuals who would like to work together. Experience organizing warehouses would be ideal but is not mandatory. Please share your contact information so we can provide you with more information regarding this vital volunteer opportunity or email us directly at volunteers@sonc.net.
