Make a real difference by joining LSI's Global Greens Urban Agriculture Program as an AmeriCorps member! You'll play a key role in creating a more equitable food system while supporting immigrant and refugee communities.

This member will develop educational resource to empower communities, conduct research and provide insightful recommendations, and help expand the reach and impact of the Global Greens program in connecting immigrant and refugee community members with urban garden and farm plots and the support they need to increase their production. You'll be part of an amazing team building more sustainable agricultural systems in Des Moines and increasing food security for program participants.

This is a Reduced Half Time position, meaning members will serve about 21 hours per week for 36 weeks. Members will receive a stipend totalling $8,876 during service and education award of $2,817.14 upon successful completion of the term of service.
