This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Business Operations & Performance Management Team, which focuses on the development and release of new products related to field support programs and projects.
This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. The Volunteer Project Manager will provide all aspects of project management for an established team of 5 staff members (Red Cross employees and volunteers) within a department of 25 staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide project management support for multiple teams and stakeholders including documentation, monitoring and feedback.
- Areas of responsibility include, but not are limited to:
Required:
- Ability to coordinate and organize multiple functions and activities within deadlines
- Comfort working independently while also being a team player
- Enthusiastic about Red Cross mission and programs
- Understand the value of volunteers and provide leadership and support to ensure volunteers are productive and have a mutually rewarding experience
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
- At least 18 years old
Required:
- Experience delivering training material
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Reliable access to computer and internet connection
- Experience with employee/staff relations or HR tasks a plus
- Previous leadership experience and comfortable with managing people
- Ability to plan and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
