Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Financial Planner to join our team. In this role, you will focus on developing comprehensive financial plans, creating budgets, setting financial goals, and devising strategies to achieve those goals. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization by planning for sustainable funding, managing budgets aligned with the organization’s mission, and ensuring that resources are allocated effectively. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about financial planning in a nonprofit context and eager to contribute to a mission-driven initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed financial plans that outline how the organization will achieve its financial goals.
  • Develop and monitor budgets to ensure that the organization’s spending aligns with its strategic priorities and mission.
  • Identify and develop strategies for securing funding, including grants, donations, and other revenue streams.
  • Provide financial forecasting and analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set financial goals and ensure that resources are allocated effectively to achieve those goals.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage financial risks, and provide recommendations for financial sustainability.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial management.
  • Stay updated on trends in nonprofit finance and integrate best practices into the organization’s financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards applicable to the nonprofit sector.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Planner or in a similar financial planning and analysis role, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and analysis principles.
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets, financial forecasts, and funding strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple financial planning responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and standards applicable to the nonprofit sector.
  • Passion for children’s literacy, education, and making a positive impact.
