Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Lead Mobile App Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing our mobile app, ensuring it is functional, user-friendly, and aligned with our mission. You will lead the development process from concept to launch, ensuring the app can be successfully published on iOS, Android, and Google Play platforms. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about mobile app development and eager to contribute to a mission-driven initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of the Book Bytes mobile app, from initial concept through to final implementation.
• Design, code, and test the app to ensure it meets functional and performance requirements.
• Ensure the app is optimized for both iOS and Android platforms, adhering to platform-specific guidelines and best practices.
• Manage the app submission process, ensuring it meets all requirements for publication on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and other relevant platforms.
• Collaborate with the UI/UX Designer to create an intuitive and user-friendly interface.
• Work closely with other team members to integrate app features with backend systems and content.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during development or post-launch.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in mobile app development to ensure the app remains competitive and up-to-date.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on the app’s progress and any challenges faced during development.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in mobile app development, with a strong portfolio of apps developed for both iOS and Android.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, Java, or React Native.
• Experience with app submission processes for the Apple App Store and Google Play, including understanding of their guidelines and requirements.
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage the full development lifecycle.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Passion for children’s literacy, education, and making a positive impact.
