Volunteering with Trinity Hospice Care of Georgia is flexible and a great way to experience hands on patient care. We operate year-round and requests are typically during daytime hours and staff is available 24/7 to address any needs that may arise. Our patient census changes oftenso the number of opportunities can change. We celebrate our patient's birthdays in person (if possible) and take immense pride in honoring our veteran patients for their service.
Volunteering for Trinity Hospice Care patients consists of matching your interest with what patients, families, and our community needs. We strive to make sure our patients get the opportunity to share their lives and remain engaged in the community. The most common request we get from families is spending time with our patients. Whether it be talking with them, reading, singing, playing a board game etc., time and presence have shown to be one of the most valuable assets volunteers bring. Some family members also take on the role of primary caregiver and can experience burnout, so our companionship volunteers are important in adding a much needed break and ease of mind. A lot of families would love to be with their person all of the time, but have work, school, focus on childcare, and/or live in a different area. Also, hiring health aides can place extra financial burden on families in what is already a difficult time. This is why it is so important to engage the community and have volunteers to bridge that gap. Come join us and see how volnteering can change your life.
We serve Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Floyd, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Paulding, Polk and Rockdale county

Mission Statement
Our Mission The mission of Trinity Hospice Care of Georgia Services is to honor life and offer compassion to individuals and their families when facing a life-limiting illness.
Description
Trinity Hospice serves more than 15 North Georgia Counties Providing Patient Focused, Exceptional Care. In our effort to provide the most exceptional care we can, we look to engage members of the community to facilitate personal connections at a trying time in family's lives. We seek out committed, compassionate volunteers to spend time with and celebrate our patients.
Trinity Hospice Care does not provide inpatient services, which means our team members go into personal care homes, assisted living facilities and patients' homes. We operate year-round except for holidays. Requests typically fall within business hours (M-F 9a-5p), but we have volunteers who prefer to go out on weekends as well. Staff is available 24/7 to address any needs that may arise. Our census averages 250 patients so we have a variety of opportunities. As might be imagined, our patient census can change so the number of opportunities can change. The duties of a volunteer with Trinity Hospice can vary, but the most common request is someone to simply spend time with our patients whether it be talking with them, reading, singing, playing a board game etc. We also celebrate each one of our patient's birthdays in person (if possible) and take immense pride in honoring our veteran patients for their service.CAUSE AREAS
