Purpose:

This position supports the Regional Development/Fundraising department. To work as a liaison between the American Red Cross and Community Partners who want to fundraise for the Red Cross.

Responsibilities:

• To assist with and lead 3rd party events within the region. These are events where Community Partners want to fundraise for the Red Cross. An example would be during disasters when community partners hold auctions, raffles, or fundraising nights with proceeds benefiting the Red Cross.
• Directly communicate with the 3rd party sharing requirements & expectations, with emphasis on completing required paperwork, signatures, and written consent.
• Maintain database to track past and current 3rd party supporters.
• Maintaining contact with the 3rd party until donation has been received within the region. Follow-up with partners to receive donation, thank partner, and provide disaster updates if needed.

Qualifications:

• Task oriented with the ability to remain focused.
• Work independently.
• Very well spoken with clear communication skills.
• Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies.

Training:

• Orientation to American Red Cross.
• Overview and expectations provided within the region at the time of on-boarding.
