Be a part of our global community of athletes, volunteers, and fans by becoming a Special Olympics Oregon Local Program Management Team Member!

We are currently seeking a seasonal volunteer to assume the role of Sports Manager that contributes to organizing and coordinating special events and fundraisers that promote SOOR athletes in our SOOR Multnomah County Local Program.

The role consists of helping with a variety of the following tasks:

• coordinate sports competitions and events
• coordinate practice and trainings
• maintain updated records
• communicate with families
• outreach to the community
• follow-up communication
• raise funds
• and more!

The seasonal time commitment for a Volunteer Local Program Management Team (LPMT) member is a 3-month seasonal commitment and typically ranges between 10 - 20 hours/month, of which is flexible and can be worked around your schedule.

We most need help with our Fall Sports Season right now, but if you enjoy your role or want to help with other areas, there is opportunity for growth moving into our upcoming Winter seasons as well.

  • Athletics - Track & Field
  • Bocce
  • Golf
  • Softball

• Fall (Sept - Nov)
  • Soccer
  • Volleyball
  • Swimming
  • Bowling
