Special Olympics Oregon wants YOU to be the next the Multnomah County Local Program Coordinator! Be a part of our global community of athletes, volunteers, and fans by becoming a Special Olympics Oregon Local Program Management Team Member! We are currently seeking a seasonal volunteer to assume the role of Local Program Coordinator that contributes to organizing and coordinating special events and fundraisers that promote SOOR athletes in our SOOR Milton-Freewater Local Program. Promote the mission, philosophy, policies & procedures of Special Olympics Oregon Recruit and manage the Local Program Management team. Serve as the primary contact for your Local Program Assist and train each Local Program management team member as needed. Ensure funds are raised and finances are recorded appropriately according to Special Olympics Oregon’s policies & procedures. Perform duties that may be assigned by Program & Coach Services Director Effectively communicate to all athletes, volunteers, family members and public Arrange & conduct management team Meetings. We are currently seeking a FINANCE MANAGER for our SOOR Multnomah County Local Program. These volunteer roles may consist in helping with a variety of the following tasks: Serve as the Local Program liaison regarding financial matters. Abide by Special Olympics Oregon’s financial policy & procedures. Implement and keep record of a Local Program budget. Maintain the Special Olympics Oregon financial records, receipts, invoices, etc. Manage the use of Local Program funds via debit account The seasonal time commitment for a Volunteer Local Program Management Team (LPMT) member typically ranges between 10 - 20 hours/month, of which is flexible and can be worked around your schedule. We most need help with our Fall Sports Season right now, but if you enjoy your role or want to help with other areas, there is opportunity for growth moving into our upcoming Winter Sports season as well. The role consists of helping with a variety of the following tasks: coordinate sports competitions and events coordinate practice and trainings maintain updated records communicate with families outreach to the community follow-up communication raise funds and more! The seasonal time commitment for a Volunteer Local Program Management Team (LPMT) member is a 3-month seasonal commitment and typically ranges between 10 - 20 hours/month, of which is flexible and can be worked around your schedule. We most need help with our Fall Sports Season right now, but if you enjoy your role or want to help with other areas, there is opportunity for growth moving into our upcoming Winter seasons as well.
