ORGANIZATION: National Multiple Sclerosis Society - New Jersey Metro Chapter

We Welcome Volunteers of All Abilities, Anyone Can Volunteer!

Families, corporate groups, and individuals of all ages and abilities are welcome to volunteer. We are always looking for youth clubs, and corporate and service-oriented community groups to lend a hand before, during, and after our events. Whether you’re living with MS and just want to say thank you at the Rest Stop, or you’re ready to help with set up, there’s a place for you at Bike MS!

When you volunteer, you become part of the MS movement - a community of passionate individuals working together to create a world free of MS. Together, we provide support, have fun, and make a difference for the nearly 1 million people living with MS in the United States.

Some volunteer positions require specialized skills and some may involve heavy lifting. Contact us for more details and if you have specific questions, needs, or accommodations during your volunteer shift.

Volunteer activities include setting up/taking down the site, running hydration/fruit stations, serving food and beverages to participants, providing excellent customer service. Specific times/positions can be found by visiting the National MS Society Volunteer Registration Link: https://nmss.galaxydigital.com/need/index?need_id=949753≠ed_init_id=9958

Mission Statement

The mission is to mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).

Description

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization supported solely by voluntary contributions. We are a collective of passionate individuals who want to do something about MS now. This means we actively raise funds to provide programs and services for people with MS and to fund research to move us closer to a world free of multiple sclerosis. The NJ Metro Chapter strives to provide knowledge and assistance to help people with MS and their families maintain the highest possible quality of life. These goals are achieved through a variety of national and local programs.

WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!

Volunteers are integral in our fight against multiple sclerosis. At the heart of so many of our service programs and fundraising events are the volunteers whose dedication, passion, and commitment help us achieve great success. Whether you’re looking to volunteer one time or on an ongoing basis, there are a variety of opportunities to match your skills, interest, and availability.

By donating your time and expertise as a chapter volunteer, you will make a difference in the lives of those living with MS.

We offer several key fundraising activities - Walk MS, Bike MS: Coast the Coast, MuckFest MS, and Bike MS: Country Challenge.
