Mission Statement

The mission is to mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).

Description

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization supported solely by voluntary contributions. We are a collective of passionate individuals who want to do something about MS now. This means we actively raise funds to provide programs and services for people with MS and to fund research to move us closer to a world free of multiple sclerosis. The NJ Metro Chapter strives to provide knowledge and assistance to help people with MS and their families maintain the highest possible quality of life. These goals are achieved through a variety of national and local programs.

WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!

Volunteers are integral in our fight against multiple sclerosis. At the heart of so many of our service programs and fundraising events are the volunteers whose dedication, passion, and commitment help us achieve great success. Whether you’re looking to volunteer one time or on an ongoing basis, there are a variety of opportunities to match your skills, interest, and availability.

By donating your time and expertise as a chapter volunteer, you will make a difference in the lives of those living with MS.

We offer several key fundraising activities - Walk MS, Bike MS: Coast the Coast, MuckFest MS, and Bike MS: Country Challenge.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT!

We are always looking for passionate volunteers - get involved today

After my Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis 2 years ago, i stopped all the Multiple sclerosis medicines prescribed due to severe side effects, and decided look into alternative approach. My primary care provider introduced me to MS-4 programme from naturalherbscentre. com and i immediately started on their Multiple Sclerosis treatment, this MS-4 treatment has made a tremendous difference for me. My symptoms including shaking, muscle weakness, fatigue, mood swings, numbness, double vision and urinary retention all disappeared after the 4 months treatment!

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 1 month after I turned 47. My grandma is 95 and has had it since she was in her 20s. I could walk very little but needed assistance as I had no balance. It is sad all the time that we thought this disease has no cure with all the technology we have while there are some formulas that can reverse all MS symptoms and get rid of it . I’m passing this info to anyone out there because Health Herbs Clinic has the right cure and health tech to help curb this disease. I took various supplements, medicine prescribed by neurologist,PCP and physiotherapy still the disease was progressing very fast until the Multiple sclerosis (MS) herbal remedies from Health Herbs Clinic. google healthherbsclinic . com

This a great organization that is dedicated to supporting and finding a cure for this terrible disease. The people I met in the office are friendly and appreciate all the help they receive.

Since 2013, I’ve taken part in the MS Bike races in NJ, both through a company sponsored team and an individual volunteer. This organization is very professional, easy to communicate with, and highly driven in their mission to find a cure and lend support with those afflicted with MS. I have no doubt they will continue their success in raising awareness and brining people from local and international communities together and will have been a major factor when we finally find a cure.

I volunteered at the Bike MS event in either August or September last summer and I had a blast! I helped to set up, hand out t-shirts, and cheer on the riders. There was music and food, and it was overall a great time.

It really showed me how to multi-task. With many groups who participate in this walk, I had to inform them on updates while taking out supplies, plus make everyone feel welcome. It was a great experience and I hope to volunteer again soon.
