Position Overview: The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of [specific programs or initiatives]. This role involves ensuring that programs align with the organization’s mission, meet community needs, and achieve measurable outcomes. The Program Director will lead a team, manage budgets, and work closely with stakeholders, including funders, partners, and community members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Management:

    • Develop and implement program strategies and objectives aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of programs, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
    • Monitor and evaluate program performance, making adjustments as necessary to improve effectiveness and impact.
    • Ensure programs comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
  2. Team Leadership:

    • Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, providing guidance and support to team members.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and professional development for staff.
  3. Budget and Resource Management:

    • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
    • Identify and secure funding opportunities through grants, donations, and partnerships.
    • Manage program-related expenses and report on financial performance to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders.
    • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events to promote programs and advocate for the organization’s mission.
    • Collaborate with other organizations and agencies to enhance program impact and reach.
  5. Data and Reporting:

    • Collect and analyze program data to assess effectiveness and inform decision-making.
    • Prepare and present reports on program outcomes, challenges, and successes to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of program activities and results.
  6. Strategic Planning:

    • Contribute to the development of long-term strategic goals and objectives for the organization.
    • Participate in organizational planning and policy development to enhance programmatic and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in program management or a related role within a non-profit organization, including experience in leadership and team management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups.
    • Proficiency in budget management, data analysis, and report writing.
    • Knowledge of [specific industry or field relevant to the organization’s programs].
    • Familiarity with relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, database management systems).
