It takes a community to welcome new arrivals to Iowa. We are stronger together! Much of our work with newly resettled individuals and families is led by LSI staff; however we need the support of volunteers to organize donations, set up apartments, and more.

LSI impacts the lives of more than 40,000 Iowans annually through residential treatment, services to families, early childhood programs, adoption/foster care services, refugee resettlement, and services for people with disabilities. LSI serves people of all ages, genders, nationalities, religions, ethnicities, and sexual orientations and is affiliated with Lutheran Services in America and three Iowa synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
