Volunteers help sort shelf stable foods into categories, stock pantry areas, assist clients with pantry shopping model, and help us ensure that our neighbors are receiving high quality, delicious food!

Your volunteer shift might entail one or more of the following tasks:

  • Unloading/loading food deliveries from trucks
  • Repackaging food into food boxes for families
  • Restocking
  • Assisting with client intake
  • Loading food boxes into cars
  • Assisting with traffic direction
  • Picking up or sorting food from local grocery stores
  • Cleaning up after the distribution

1 Shift

  • 08:30 AM to 12:30 PM PST - Spots available: 6
    Pantry Volunteers help with set-up, cleaning, and restocking in the pantry. Shorter shifts may be available!

Description

Every month, more than 46,000 people - including 15,000 children - will access emergency food through the Marion Polk Food Share partner network. This food may be a hot meal served at a shelter, a free community meal served at a church, or an emergency food box from a food pantry. This nutritious food will help children and adults learn, work, and thrive.
