College & Career Coaches will play a critical role in supporting our students as they begin their college journey. Each Coach serves as a liaison between our college students and Minds Matter CLE. Coaches work closely with Minds Matter staff to deliver valuable and timely guidance to our students as they navigate their transition from high school to college.
Coaches commit to a one-year term, during which they meet with their assigned students monthly to move through Minds Matter’s college success curriculum (including Campus Resources, Financial Aid Processes, and Career Planning). Coaches will meet with students, engage in training and reporting with staff, and respond to student needs and questions. The College Success Coach is an extension of the mentor or mentoring leader role in our high school program and is responsible for the well-being of their assigned students. Each coach has the opportunity to develop close and meaningful relationships with their assigned students during their first year of college.

About MINDS MATTER
Location:
101 Prospect Avenue, CLEVELAND, OH 44115, US
Mission Statement
Minds Matter connects driven and determined high school students from low-income families with the people, preparation, and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future, and change the world.
Description
We equip high school students with the tools to gain acceptance to and graduate from a four-year university with minimal to no tuition cost burden by providing them critical resources - such as mentoring, tutoring, SAT and ACT test preparation, summer academic programs, and financial aid application assistance - to ensure both college access and success. Through our efforts, we help our students develop into tomorrow's leaders. We introduce them to a world of opportunity outside their neighborhoods and comfort zones. Minds Matter believes that no student dedicated to earning a college education should be limited by socioeconomic status.
