Backcountry Communities Thriving (BCT) partners with Feeding San Diego to provide a free food distribution for the residents of the Butterfield Ranch Community. Butterfield is a privately owned mobile home/trailer park with an extremely low income population. Residents experience poor living conditions, lack of transportation and food insecurity on a daily basis. Feeding San Diego delivers produce to the community on the second Tuesdays of the month. On the fourth Tuesdays of the month, they bring produce and pantry staples. BCT operates a free pop up thrift "store" for the residents on the fourth Tuesdays of the month so that they can pick out clothes, household items and other necessities. Setting up for the food distributions normally begin at 12:00 pm and the break down is at 2:30 pm.
