Bideawee’s Wantagh location is primarily an intake and medical facility with limited adoptions. Here, volunteers (ages 18 and older) help with cleaning, laundry, making enrichment toys, and socializing and interacting with the animals when they are healthy to do so. We could also use your help at events! While we need your help, there is no guarantee animals are part of every shift at this site. We require one shift per week (2 hours.)
Due to the nature of work here and the number of animals we generally have onsite at a time, only those who can commit to more than six months will be considered. Weekday help during the day is our biggest need at this time. https://bttr.im/w6avy
