Use your writing edge to volunteer!
(For High School Student Volunteers)
BEA website publishes blogs written by high school student volunteers as good writing examples for younger children.
Writing volunteers basically submit their writing works, poetry, fiction (non-poetry) or non-fiction, to the BEA Peer Review Working Group. Once accepted for publication, the volunteer will have their effort recognized through their volunteer hour (according to the length of the text) and the publicity as the writing role model.
Your submissions must be unpublished and authentic, owned by you before you submit it to BEA.
At this stage, the submissions should be written in English.
How to start volunteering?
To start the process, please
(1) fill in the Volunteer Application Form published on www.brookedge.org/volunteers; AND
(2) provide at least one sample of your writing in English to the email or shared through Google Drive with brookedgeacademy@gmail.com. Thanks.
Please the actions as above mentioned. A click of interest or a message in VolunteerMatch does not place hold of the opportunity. Each application is warmly welcomed and much appreciated. Usually we pick up emails fast. We are now in the busines season. Apology if you are expecting an even quicker response.
Drop the Academy an email, if you have further questions: BrookEdgeAcademy@gmail.com
Thank you for your consideration.
