We are looking for a Volunteer Social Media (Facebook/Instagram) Content Creator to join our team and help promote LEDI’s mission on social media. This role will involve creating engaging and visually appealing content to raise awareness of LEDI’s programs, highlight success stories, and encourage donor support.

Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation: Design and create regular posts, stories, and videos for (Facebook, Instagram and other social platforms) that reflect LEDI’s projects and impact.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns to engage followers and promote LEDI’s initiatives.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all content aligns with LEDI’s branding and messaging guidelines and enhances LEDI’s brand identity.
  • Engagement: Monitor social media channels for comments, questions, and feedback, and respond appropriately to build community engagement.
  • Increase Followers: Increase our audience/ reach and share stories that inspire people to support LEDI's work, including our current flagship project to complete the first modern public library in Liberia.
Required Skills:
  • Experience with using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Constant Contact, etc) to promote nonprofit, business, campaigns.
  • Graphic design skills (experience with Canva, Adobe Spark, or similar tools).
  • Strong writing and visual communication skills.
  • Knowledge of social media marketing strategies and analytics.
  • Ability to create compelling and shareable content that resonates with a diverse audience.

The ideal volunteer will use exisiting content, pictures, videos, graphics, and/or create new evergreen materials - to help us tell our story and reach broad and diverse audiences. Ideally can work independently or collaboratively.

Liberia Economic Development Initiative (LEDI) is a US-based, 501 (c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization with an international focus providing life changing literacy, economic development and humanitarian programs and interventions to disadvantaged people in Liberia, West Africa, which is the fourth poorest country in the world. Since 2007, LEDI has provided over 750 educational scholarships and empowered countless individuals and communities through economic development and humanitarian relief.
