The Foster Coordinator will manage the day-to-day logistics associated with animal fostering. It is a crucial role that allows Grace Rehabilitation Center to place animals in need in loving and adequate foster homes. This is a part-time role that is located near the organization. Volunteers are responsible for all travel expenses and providing their own vehicle.

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Schedule interviews and screen foster applicants

  • Perform home visits when applicable and necessary

  • Transfer of animals to approved foster homes or veterinarian clinics

  • Coordinate veterinarian appointments with foster and vet clinic

Our mission is to rescue homeless pets to give them a second chance at life by finding them adoptive homes or live out their lives and any programs or outreaches promoting the welfare of animals.

Description

Cindy Yee Kong, author of The Eyes of the Lion, found Grace Animal Rehabilitation Center Inc. under the pressing need of rescuing and re-homing overpopulated stray cats in her community. Her love for domesticated animals began when she was comforted by a rescue kitten in her trying time.

Grace Animal Rehab Center eventually goal is to have mobile spay/neuter clinic and advocate team. Currently, we only have spay/neuter program due to limited volunteers.
