Are you a passionate Magic: The Gathering or Dungeons & Dragons player? Do you believe in the transformative power of games? Join us at San Quentin SkunkWorks as a Game Master of Change and help us revolutionize prison culture through our cutting-edge gaming initiative!

Who We Are:

San Quentin SkunkWorks is dedicated to empowering incarcerated people by fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovative solutions to system challenges. Our transformational gaming initiative aims to create a positive, engaging environment that inspires personal growth and development.

Role: Game Master of Change

As a Game Master of Change, you will:

- Lead and facilitate Magic: The Gathering or Dungeons & Dragons sessions for our incarcerated participants.

- Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages strategic thinking, teamwork, and creativity.

- Mentor and guide participants in developing their skills, both in-game and in life.

- Collaborate with our team to design and implement game-based activities that align with our mission of transformation and empowerment.

- Assist in outreach efforts to secure gaming resources and materials to enhance our program.

What We’re Looking For:

- Enthusiastic and experienced MTG or D&D players who can effectively lead game sessions.

- Strong communication and leadership skills.

- A commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of incarcerated people.

- Patience, empathy, and a willingness to engage with participants from diverse backgrounds.

- Availability on the first Friday of each month from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
