This position supports the Regional SAF department. This opportunity requires participation in in-person activities and/or performing work in a Red Cross facility. This position is for a volunteer serving in a leadership role which will oversee the delivery of all American Red Cross volunteers, programs and services in a Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
· Have a clear understand of the MOU between Red Cross and military entity, and ensure compliance
· Coordinate Red Cross volunteer orientations, in-processing and any additional orientation/training required by the military entity, ensuring volunteers meet and stay current in all requirements for their duties/responsibilities
· Assist in recruiting and placing volunteers; ensure volunteer hours are tracked according to Red Cross and command policy
· Maintain an open line of communication with all volunteer leaders; maintain awareness of community events and support Red Cross participation in events
· Interact and liaise with volunteers and Red Cross management and military personnel
· Conduct annual and ongoing facility needs assessment
· Assist with ensuring ample volunteers to provide Red Cross services within medical treatment facilities
· Ensure continuity of required specialized volunteer training, placement and volunteer recognition.
· Provide supervision for individual Clinic Leads
· Ensure volunteers follow any guidelines related to uniform and immunization requirements
· Maintaining volunteer records; reporting and tracking volunteer hours
· Provide volunteer program leadership, management, and support
· Overseeing volunteer recognition events
· Attending a variety of volunteer and installation meetings
