Water Testing Robot Project

Join us in creating a water testing robot designed to monitor and analyze water quality in various environments. This project aims to combine robotics with environmental science to develop a tool that can contribute to sustainable water management practices.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in assembling and testing components of the water testing robot.

- Participate in data collection and analysis during field tests.

- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and improve robot functionality.

- Attend regular project meetings: Tuesdays, 4-7pm and Fridays, 9am-3pm throughout the summer.

Skills that are appreciated but not at all required:

- Interest in robotics, engineering, or environmental science.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Willingness to learn and contribute actively to project goals.

- Prior experience in robotics or water quality testing is a plus but not required.

The Green Crew's mission is to lead the adventure of "saving the world." The Green Crew is a youth-inspired and youth-led environmental action organization. Our conservation service projects provide youth the hands-on experience in meaningful action to make the natural world healthier.

Description

Launching in January 2022, the Green Crew is a unique collaboration between the Izaak Walton League and the BSA venturing program. We sponsor 1 or 2 environmental adventures per month. These adventures have been designed, planned, and implemented by youth. Adults serve as consultants and advisors.
