Volunteers are needed to help to offload heavy crates and cartons of food from the Feeding Westchester truck; carry foodstuffs down a flight of stairs and place in distribution area; unpack foodstuffs; set up and then stock tables; break down cardboard storage boxes. This is both an outdoor and indoor activity.
We need heavy-lifters!
Time: TBD. The food delivery truck arrival time is ~ 9:00 am - however this is an estimate. Due to this, volunteers would be notified by text as to what time the truck is expected, so they don’t have to wait around.

The Ossining Food Pantry, founded in 1988, is 100% staffed by volunteers. Our mission is to help eliminate food insecurity in our community. We serve people in need from Ossining, Briarcliff Manor, and Scarborough.
Today we help approximately 350 families each week through a range of services including Choice Pantry food distributions, deliveries to homebound clients and agencies, and a Mobile Food Pantry, cosponsored with Star of Bethlehem Church and Feeding Westchester.
