The KLM Foundation is a small, nonprofit (501c3) foundation seeking volunteers to support its community service initiatives and engagement. Volunteers play a crucial role in helping the foundation achieve its overall mission and allow it to connect with the community through various initiatives and tasks. We have opportunities the following opportunities:
- Community volunteers - committee volunteers help support initiatives via social media and/or in person during community service events and activities
- Volunteer board members - serve as leaders for the foundation and help ensure its mission is accomplished, successfully
Volunteers must be flexible and commit to support the foundation's mission. Responsibilities include:
- understanding the foundation's mission, purpose, policies, programs, and needs
- maintaining confidentiality about all internal matters of the foundation
- attending board meetings
- attending committee meetings as designated and where applicable
- collaborating/communicating with board and committee members to ensure the foundation's mission is accomplished
- serving as an active advocate and ambassador for the foundation in the communities
- participating in (or taking on tasks associated with) annual community service projects and initiatives
- supporting the foundations mission through fundraising efforts and board giving, if applicable
All community volunteers and board volunteers must:
- be at least 18 years of age
- undergo a background check, where applicable
- possess real-life experiences which are beneficial to the communities in which the foundation commits
- be passionate about community service and philanthropy
- be willing to commit to 1-2 hours of service per month, where necessary
- be willing to commit to at least 2 years as a volunteer
Volunteers must be located within the United States. As our mission is to support communities throughout the United States, all candidates meeting the requirements will be considered regardless of state.
NOTE: We cannot support international volunteers or court-appointed community service goals.
