Gentiva Hospice is always looking for volunteers to help our patients and their families during their critical times. Volunteers can hold many different roles. They can sit with patients, either talking - reading- or simply being a calming presence. Volunteers sometimes help with light household chores or run errands for the family to elevate care-giver duties.

Administrative Volunteers must be age 16 and up. This is a position of being able to help others, without being face to face with a family or patient. Our office is looking to fill the front desk greeting position, Monday through Friday. Although the times are flexible, we are looking at filling a 3-hour shift in the morning and in the afternoon.

(Training is done at your own pace and can be a self-study at home or int he office with the Volunteer Coordinator. A TB test, background check, and drug screening is required.)
