Community Outreach and Events Volunteer

About Us:

&Rise is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower women to be the ultimate versions of themselves no matter what adversities they've faced. We are dedicated to serving women survivors of sexual and domestic abuse with free mental health services and resources and rely on passionate volunteers to help us achieve our mission.

About the Role:

As a Community Outreach and Events Volunteer, you will play a vital role in raising awareness about our organization and its programs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Community Outreach:
  • Assist with planning and execution of outreach activities (e.g., attending community fairs, health fairs, or school events).
  • Distribute informational materials and engage with community members about our organization's mission and services.
  • Build relationships with community partners and organizations.
• Events:
  • Set up and break down booths at fundraising or awareness events.
  • Answer questions from the public about our organization and its programs.
  • Promote volunteer opportunities and encourage others to get involved.

You are a perfect fit for this role if you:

• Are passionate about our mission and excited to share it with others.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are comfortable approaching new people and engaging in conversation.
• Are organized, reliable, and a team player.
• Can work independently and take initiative.
• Are available to volunteer during weekdays and occasionally on weekends (flexible scheduling possible).
