Our mentors consistently tell us how mentoring isn’t just about offering guidance-it’s about making a real, lasting difference. Imagine being part of someone’s growth and helping them discover what’s possible.
"It’s not just about guidance; it’s about building a connection that lasts."
We have 44+ kids who are waiting for a mentor. These kids are looking for an extra adult, couple or family to walk alongside them and provide the community they need. Do you have a few hours a month to be there for a local youth? Kids 'n Kinship provides the training and support you need to be an amazing mentor for a youth near you. Take the next step - it could be one of the most rewarding decisions you’ll ever make.

Mission Statement
Kids 'n Kinship is a youth mentoring program in Dakota County for youth ages 5-16 in need of a positive role model. Through their mentor relationship, youth experience a variety of activities and increase their self-esteem.
Description
Kids 'n Kinship connects volunteers with children and youth who need a positive role model, supports the volunteer/child relationship as they have fun together, and provides for safe and successful mentoring. Volunteers (individual adults, couples or families) spend 4-6 hours a month with a child, doing low-cost but fun activities such as fishing, playing catch, gardening, crafts, or playing board games.
