About StandUp for Kids - San Diego, CA

Location:

6161 El Cajon Blvd. #B154, San Diego, CA 92115, US

Mission Statement

Ending the cycle of youth homelessness. We do this in cities across America, one youth at a time.

Description

StandUp for Kids - San Diego opened its doors in 1990 as the first StandUp for Kids chapter. StandUp for Kids - San Diego operates four core programs:

  • Outreach Drop-In Center
  • Street Outreach
  • Mentoring
  • Apartment Support

Teen homelessness rates are on the rise. Our concern is that homeless kids are the most likely target of human traffickers, pornographers and gangs. These vulnerable kids are forced to endure unimaginable horrors, just to survive.

Our main focus is on prevention; providing an array of resources and services to help homeless youth on their journey to self-sufficient adulthood.
