ORGANIZATION: AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

Drive for good 2023 female

Help cancer patients in your community get to life-saving medical appointments.

The American Cancer Society provides free rides to treatment for people with cancer. As a trained Road To Recovery volunteer driver, you can change someone’s life in as little as one hour a week by ensuring a ride is available, so care isn’t stopped or delayed.

If you own or have regular access to a safe, reliable vehicle, then you’re already on the road to volunteering. But you’ll also need to

  • be between the ages of 18 and 84
  • possess a valid driver’s license and adequate automobile insurance
  • pass a background check and motor vehicle records check
  • be comfortable using technology and have reliable internet access
  • complete required training
  • availability between Monday - Friday, 7AM to 7PM

We would love your help!

To sign up: respond via Volunteer Match or visit the American Cancer Society's volunteercommunity.cancer.org, search by zip and Road To Recovery to learn more, sign up and to start training.
