Position Overview: Chiquita Jackson Enterprise is embarking on an exciting expansion into Michigan, and we are seeking a qualified and dedicated Volunteer Program Manager to lead and manage our initiatives in the region. As a social impact nonprofit, we believe in transformative leadership, youth development, and creating pathways to accessible economic resources.

Responsibilities:

1. Expansion Planning: Collaborate with the Executive Director and relevant teams to develop a strategic plan for Chiquita Jackson Enterprise's expansion into Michigan, ensuring alignment with our overall mission and goals.

2. Program Development: Design, implement, and manage programs that address the unique needs of communities in Michigan, focusing on disrupting poverty through innovation and collaboration.

3. Community Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with local stakeholders, community leaders, and partner organizations to enhance Chiquita Jackson Enterprise's presence and impact in Michigan.

4. Volunteer Recruitment and Management: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support program initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational values and objectives.

5. Grant Writing and Fundraising: Work collaboratively with the development team to identify and secure funding opportunities specific to the Michigan expansion. Assist in grant writing and fundraising efforts.

6. Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness and impact of programs in Michigan, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

7. Communication and Reporting: Regularly communicate progress, challenges, and successes to the Executive Director and stakeholders. Prepare and submit reports as required.

8. Advocacy and Outreach: Represent Chiquita Jackson Enterprise at local events, conferences, and meetings to advocate for our mission and expand our network of supporters.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in program management and expansion, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Michigan's social and economic landscape.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Passion for social impact and commitment to Chiquita Jackson Enterprise's mission.

Reporting: This position reports to the Executive Director.
