Bereavement Volunteer
Responsible to : Volunteer Coordinator
Works With: Bereaved
Role
Provide support to families on their grief journey. This role has a variety of tasks from support with mailings to support with bereavement support phone calls. Training is provided for this role. Bereavement group support may also be available depending on time of year.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with mailings and letters
AND/OR
Provide condolences to families with uncomplicated grief via phone calls
Secondary Responsibilities
Simple documentation of the visit, form provided, to be submitted to the Volunteer Coordinator

A successful applicant will show a positive attitude towards patient care and be comfortable around individuals on their grief journey. Training is provided.
