The Tutoring Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of the tutoring program, including recruitment and training of tutors, matching tutors with students, and ensuring the successful implementation of the program. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining effective communication between tutors, students, parents, and organization leaders

Responsibilities:

1. Program Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive tutoring program curriculum based on the needs of students and in alignment with educational goals.
  • Stay updated on current teaching and technology methodology and best practices in tutoring to improve program efficacy.

2. Tutor Recruitment and Training:
  • Recruit and screen qualified tutors through advertisements, referrals, and partnerships with educational institutions.
  • Conduct interviews and training for new tutors
  • Provide extensive training and orientation to tutors to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively support students' academic needs.

3. Tutor-Student Matchmaking:
  • Assess students' academic needs and match them with suitable tutors based on subject expertise and compatibility.
  • Regularly evaluate and adjust tutor-student matches to ensure optimum impact and student satisfaction.
  • Monitor and address any issues that may arise between tutors and students, providing appropriate support and resources as needed.

4. Program Administration:
  • Develop and maintain a database of students, tutors, and their respective schedules.
  • Coordinate tutoring sessions, ensuring they take place at mutually agreed-upon times and locations
  • Track and report program progress, including student achievements, tutor performance, and program outcomes.

5. Communication and Collaboration:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tutors, students, parents, and organization staff regarding program inquiries, updates, and concerns.
