If you have an hour or more per week, we need you! Based on your interests and preferences, you will receive specific volunteer training to help improve the quality of life of life for others.
Engage with your hospice patient any of the following:
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Provide a listening ear
- Encourage them to share life experiences
- Play games (cards, board games, etc.)
- Watch TV with them
- Read to them
- Sing/or play music for them
No medical experience needed. Volunteers DO NOT provide any hands-on care such as changing a diaper, dispensing medications, etc. You will only provide companionship and socialization. The patients you will serve will be in your community.
