Please join us on a flexible basis, as needed and according to your own availability. Shifts are 2-3 hours long, weekdays (M-F) between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Be trained and then added to our Substitute email lists for positions such as Kitchen Volunteer (food server), Laundry Volunteer, and Front Desk (reception). Choose which positions and shifts you would like to work, and respond to the requestor to accept your assignment.
Some requests will be for short-notice, urgent staffing needs, while others may be for assignments 1-2 weeks in advance. All positions provide direct service to our homeless neighbors from the community.

The Lamb Center is a daytime drop-in shelter for individuals (our guests) who are experiencing homelessness in Fairfax, Virginia. We provide breakfast, lunch, showers, laundry service, Bible studies, case management, employment opportunities, housing and job counseling, AA meetings, small group opportunities, nurse practitioner services, a dental clinic, and much more.
