The Welcome Crew (Wavers) will be holding a sign or waving a flag and assisting incoming cars with directions (a map will be provided for you to show drivers a visual guide).
***Will require standing for an hour. If you'd prefer to sit, please bring a folding chair. Water will be provided. Volunteers for this position will be at designated spots. Some of the designated spots might have an incline in elevation that will require physical activity.***

Description
The Jamaican American Community Organization (JACO) is a volunteer based 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed through civic leaders with over 40 years of experience fostering financial literacy programs, promoting Jamaican culture, organizing outdoor community activities, and engaging in after-school tutoring to support families, students, migrants, and youth.
By volunteering at our annual July 4th Family Day in Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland, California, you are supporting our largest community event that has been free to the public for over 20 years!
