Our volunteers are an important part of our hospice care team, helping to improve the quality of life for our patients, their families and their caregivers.
We are looking for great pet therapy team volunteers that are willing to assist in various capacities. Training is provided and volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and are supported by other members of the patient care team. Requirements are that you will provide certification with a humane-animal organization therapy program, pet health history and vaccination records, and completion of a signed release of liability and a notarized pet behavior affidavit.

Description
Amedisys Hospice, seeks compassionate people to become volunteers and a part of our team in various locations in Johnstown, PA and surrounding areas. As a hospice volunteer, you would provide companionship and emotional support to our patients and their families. It can be a simple as a visit with a patient just to chat or read to them or simply brighten their day! However, if you have special talents that you'd really like to share, we offer pet therapy, music therapy and art therapy to our patients.
A hospice volunteer is a special person that's made the conscious decision to make a difference in the lives of others. Can you even offer 1-2 hours of your time per month? We're very flexible! Our company takes great pride in the fact that we offer trained volunteers. Are you a Veteran? We're always looking for Vets to connect with our Veteran patients!
If you'd like to volunteer, but not as a direct volunteer, we can always use help in our office with mailings, etc. I'm certain that if you're interested in helping, we can find a way for you to do that. Email us today so we can send you a simple link to click to the application.
