Our volunteers are an important part of our hospice care team, helping to improve the quality of life for our patients, their families and their caregivers. Please consider becoming a part of our team as a volunteer performing direct care patient visits! This would include potentially visiting our patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities. Some examples of what the direct care patient visits my consist of include: offering companionship, playing cards, chess or board games, or simply reminiscing or having a friendly conversation.

Some examples of volunteer needs: offering companionship, playing chess, cards or board games, knitting or scrapbooking, providing support at time of death, veteran to veteran visits, making weekly "tuck-in" calls, making bereavement phone calls or visits, administrative support and much more.

We are looking for great pet therapy team volunteers that are willing to assist in various capacities. Training is provided and volunteers are supervised by a volunteer coordinator and are supported by other members of the patient care team. Requirements are that you will provide certification with a humane-animal organization therapy program, pet health history and vaccination records, and completion of a signed release of liability and a notarized pet behavior affidavit.
