Feast of Justice 'mission is addressing Hunger, Meeting Needs, and Inspiring Hope as we work for Abundant Justice in Northeast Philadelphia and beyond. Feast of Justice is a non-profit Choice Market food pantry in Northeast Philadelphia! Our food pantry is set up like a grocery store and is 100% volunteer staffed with over 400 active volunteers. Our guests shop for their food based on family size, and we are currently serving about 550 families each week through "distribution" in our indoor Choice Market.
As a Guest Resource Liaison Volunteer, you will help us organize and perform intake/registration of new guests at our Choice Market food pantry. Working to connect guests with external social services as well as other organizations that can best support their goals. You will work directly with our registration coordinator in addition to training in our Choice Market.
This is an in-person role, 2-4 hours per shift, Registration is offered at Feast of Justice Tuesday (10-12pm), Wednesday (4-6pm), Saturday (10-12pm). Volunteers can select what days’ work best and could even create their own shift times as we expand the program!
The ideal volunteer would have a passion for working with people, and an interest in learning about additional immigration, housing, and food supports available to Philadelphians. All necessary knowledge will be taught onsite. No prerequisites exist.

Mission Statement
HUNGER FREE AMERICA is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grassroots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food.
Description
HUNGER FREE AMERICA (formerly known as the New York City Coalition Against Hunger) is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grass-roots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food.
Our long-term goal is not just to ameliorate the problem, but also to build the people’s movement necessary to enact the economic and public policies needed to end hunger entirely. Given that hunger drains our economy and tears at our moral and civic fabric, we know that eliminating it will boost the nation both economically and spiritually. Towards that end, we’ve adopted the motto: "Ending hunger lifts us all."
