Engage with history and be a part of this thriving community resource! Volunteers help maintain this library, celebrated for its outstanding collection on naval aviation history and heritage. Catalogue books, conduct research, and assist library visitors, including the meaningful interactions to be had with the families of former crewmen. Prior experience in administration, research and/or library science required.
Time Commitment: 1 shift per week

Description
The USS Midway Museum opened to the public in June 2004 and today is one of San Diego’s most popular visitor attractions with world wide audience. The naval aircraft carrier was commissioned in 1945 and served for 47 years supporting U.S. military and humanitarian efforts around the world. Nearly 250,000 sailors and officers served their country aboard the USS Midway before it was decommissioned (retired) in 1992. Museum includes more than 60 audio tour stops including nearly 30 aircraft ranging from the WWII era to today's technology in Naval aviation. Come be a part of this 'city at sea'!
