Are you a creative, outgoing artist with a passion for teaching young minds? We invite you to be part of our Young @ Art Program, where you'll help children aged 6 to 9 explore the world of fine art. This exciting program runs twice a month, from November 2023 to April 2024, with each session lasting one hour, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Your role will involve: - Guiding budding artists through various art forms. - Encouraging self-expression and boosting their confidence. - Providing a nurturing environment for creativity to flourish. All art supplies will be provided, and you'll have the opportunity to design engaging lesson plans, subject to approval by our Assistant Library Director, Loanis Menendez-Cuesta. Details at a glance: - Program Dates: Wednesdays from November 1, 2023, to April 17, 2024. - Stipend: $75.00 per session (10 sessions in total). - Limited to 12 students, ensuring personalized attention.

From painting to sculpting and beyond, this program aims to foster self-expression, boost confidence, and ignite a lifelong love for art. Description

The Ladies Improvement Association founded the Delray Beach Public Library in 1913. In 1938 the Delray Beach Public Library Association became a not-for-profit corporation to provide a public library in Delray Beach. Since 1950, our patrons have received library service through a successful public/private partnership between the City of Delray Beach and the Library Association. The City of Delray Beach has provided a large percentage of the annual operating budget and the Library Association has raised capital funds.

Delray Beach Public Library exists to enrich the lives of the individuals of Delray Beach’s diverse communities by creating and sustaining superior public library services through responsive staff, dynamic collections, appropriate technology and access to global information.
