This is a wonderful volunteer activity for individuals, families, friends, service clubs, church groups, businesses, and professional associations to help our neighbors this holiday season! It’s a short time commitment.
The Salvation Army Service Extension Unit in Longmont, in partnership with OUR Center, helps low-income families in the St. Vrain Valley area with rent and utilities to keep them housed and warm, and car repairs so they have reliable transportation, with these Bell Ringing funds.
The money stays in our community.
It’s fun! It’s easy! No training required. Friendly smile encouraged! Ringing the bell is all that is necessary, no other solicitation is allowed or required; just a gracious thank you to those that choose to give. Bells, The Salvation Army apron, sign and kettle with lock & key will be waiting for you at the location.
Volunteer groups and individuals are needed for 2-hour shifts at Hobby Lobby, King Soopers, Safeway, & Wal-Mart stores in the greater Longmont area November 11 - December 24.

Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Description
Every year during the holiday season, volunteers ring bells at The Salvation Army Kettles at local stores. The kettles give all of us a reminder of those in need in our community and provide an easy way for others to donate as they go about their every day activities.
Volunteers can sign up as individuals, or as groups, hosting for a single shift or provide support for an entire day with multiple shift coordination.
Funds raised in the kettles are used in the St Vrain Valley, after careful screening in partnership with OUR Center Resource Specialists, to provide vouchers for rent or mortgage assistance / homelessness prevention, utility assistance, and automobile repair. The St Vrain Valley area which The Salvation Army and OUR Center support covers the St Vrain School District, including Hygiene, Longmont, Mead, Niwot, Firestone, Dacono, Frederick, Lyons, and Allenspark.
We have this fundraiser opportunity from November 11th, 2023 to December 23rd, 2023. This is the only Salvation Army fundraising opportunity in the Longmont/St Vrain area.
