Mission Statement

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Description

Every year during the holiday season, volunteers ring bells at The Salvation Army Kettles at local stores. The kettles give all of us a reminder of those in need in our community and provide an easy way for others to donate as they go about their every day activities.

Volunteers can sign up as individuals, or as groups, hosting for a single shift or provide support for an entire day with multiple shift coordination.

Funds raised in the kettles are used in the St Vrain Valley, after careful screening in partnership with OUR Center Resource Specialists, to provide vouchers for rent or mortgage assistance / homelessness prevention, utility assistance, and automobile repair. The St Vrain Valley area which The Salvation Army and OUR Center support covers the St Vrain School District, including Hygiene, Longmont, Mead, Niwot, Firestone, Dacono, Frederick, Lyons, and Allenspark.

We have this fundraiser opportunity from November 11th, 2023 to December 23rd, 2023. This is the only Salvation Army fundraising opportunity in the Longmont/St Vrain area.
