PURPOSE

Ronald McDonald House Charities (r) of Northeast Ohio (RMHC NEO) mission is to enhance the healthcare experience for families and children through comfort, care and supportive services.

The STAR Corner is a free service of the RMHC NEO, which provides a fun, welcoming, educational environment for children while their sibling or caregiver receives medical/wellness care. Staff and volunteers work with children on age-appropriate lessons involving healthy habits, positive peer socialization and school readiness skills. Additionally, staff and volunteers will provide each family with "Takeaway" information and other supporting materials to promote a greater awareness of community resources to help impact future well-being.

The STAR Corner volunteer will be involved in tasks to assist families who utilize the services of the Medical Center.
