You need to nourish in order to flourish! In our on-site kitchen, we prepare and serve nourishing meals infused with dignity, kindness, and compassion, with a pinch of joy and laughter. Fueling our guests' smiles, bodies, and minds. Join us as a kitchen volunteer as we give our guests the chance to flourish, one plate at a time!

Meal service for our guests includes hot breakfasts Monday - Friday and hot lunches Monday - Thursday. Our kitchen also prepares meals for the Casa de Noche Buena shelter in Seaside, which supports women and families. Breakfast prep and service shifts are Monday- Friday 7:15am-10:00am. Lunch prep and service shifts are Monday-Friday10:00M-12:30pm. Shelter Meal Prep shifts are Monday- Thursday 12:30-3:00pm.

Providing homeless women with supportive resources and a caring community.

Description

Our vision is that the homeless and hungry have a place on the Monterey Peninsula where they can access food, clothing, a caring community, and connections to resources and services.

Gathering for Women is a caring community...

Where homeless women can get a hot meal, free clothing and limited emergency assistance.
Where health, mental health, and other service providers can connect with homeless women to offer them help.
Where homeless women can learn how to keep themselves safe and healthy.
Where the community can learn from homeless women about what they need.
Where housing providers can connect with, screen, and place women into permanent housing.

Gathering for Women is a non-profit organization funded through grants and individual and organizational contributions. We also accept donations of food, warm clothing, rain gear, camping equipment (tarps, sleeping bags and tents), and toiletries such as small containers of sunscreen, hand sanitizers, and deodorants.
